Building Together, Healing Together

Tours Scheduled as End of Construction Nears

The excitement continues to build as we see the South Tower's Phase I construction moving toward completion!

Private tours for employees and medical staff will be offered by Surgical Services department staff on Thursday, September 20th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Invitations will be sent with all the details at a later date. Following a public open house on Sunday, September 23rd, the South Tower will be "off limits" and locked down for sterilization and cleaning.

The First Surgeries

are scheduled to take place in the new South Tower facility at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 1st (two surgeries at each time). A new hallway and entry has been constructed to ensure patients get into and out of the new area as efficiently as possible.

All "cut-throughs" or connections between the Main Building, North Tower, and South Tower are complete. These will not be available for use, however, until the building is approved and opened later in September.

Completion of the Water Feature and Healing Garden being incorporated into the South Tower makes it necessary to temporarily close the North Tower's upper employee parking lot. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause. A special effort is being made to remove surplus materials which have been stored in the lower parking lot area, in order open up parking spaces during this time.

We are so grateful to be able to complete this unique feature, which is located off the new Surgical Waiting Room, at this phase of construction, thanks to funds from a donor who will be recognized at our opening.
