How You Can Help
Honorary & Memorial Gifts
There are many occasions in life which prompt us to give. Gifts to HRHF are tax-deductible and can be made in several ways. You may wish to commemorate an anniversary or birthday, remember Mother's Day or Father's Day in a special way, or make your gift in memory of a loved one or friend. Honoring a special person in your life through a gift to the Foundation in a meaningful way of showing your respect, appreciation and love.
Donations (Restricted and Unrestricted)
You may designate your donation to be used wherever the need is greatest (unrestricted), or to be used by a particular department or service (restricted), at any of the three Foundation-affiliated facilities: Methodist Hospital, Methodist Hospital Union County or Methodist Hospital Ambulatory Care Center.
Wills, life insurance policies, property or trusts are examples of planned gifts which can extend donor support of the Foundation into the future in a significant way. We will be happy to provide you with general information about how to incorporate a planned gift to the Foundation into your estate plan. For more detailed information, consult an attorney.
Many of the Foundation's active, ongoing supporters choose to make annual gifts and pledges. (Please refer to the Donor Recognition Program Levels of Giving.)
Support our Annual Fundraisers
- Antique Show - Held each October since 1988, the Foundation's major fundraiser is the Antique Show. Dealers within a 200-mile radius assemble a "mini-antique mall" for a weekend. The 2000 show featured "Antiques Road Show" appraisers, as well as quality dealers from several states. See our Community Involvement page for fundraising dates and information.
- Golf Classic - The Annual Golf Classic is sponsored by the Henderson Regional Hospital Foundation. All proceeds go to the CATCH (Community Access to Child Health) Program. We invite you to participate in this year's summer fundraiser, held at the Henderson Country Club. If you would like to sign-up click here for details.
- Luminaries Fundraiser - This special holiday project was initiated in 1996 at the suggestion of board member Cleo Royer. Electric versions of the luminaries, which traditionally consist of candles placed into beds of sand inside paper bags, line the Hospital's driveways and sidewalks every holiday season. Each light represents a $25 donation made in memory of honor of someone, or to commemorate a special occasion.
