Nursing at Methodist
Welcome from the Chief Nursing OfficerIt is a privilege and an honor to serve as the Chief Nursing Officer of Methodist Hospital. What a wonderful place to be a nurse!
When I first came to Methodist I was not only thrilled with the family atmosphere of the hospital community but was most impressed with the dedication of the nursing staff. I found that nursing at Methodist was a dynamic process that utilized both the art and science of nursing. There was great compassion that surrounded the highly technical care given to our patients. Add to that the teamwork and quality that transcends across all hospital departments and you have the essence of what it means to be a nurse at Methodist Hospital.
Our nurses are impressive in the excellence that they provide in practice, care, leadership, and education. Patients and families can expect their nurses to provide them service with dignity, respect, privacy, and confidentiality. Nursing is central to this mission.
The nursing practice environment at Methodist is ever changing and allows for nurses to be innovative leaders. Nursing has been an instrumental part of technological advances with equipment, a newly constructed South Tower to house surgery and maternal child areas, and the selection of a new clinical information system at Methodist.
The future of nursing practice at Methodist Hospital is exciting. I am looking forward to working with staff in making a difference in the care of our community.
I am proud to be a part of this wonderful hospital community and to work with such a wonderful nursing team.
Our future is bright! Come Join Us!
