Osteopathic Family Practice

Methodist Hospital fulfilled one of its long-term medical goals in July, 2003 when the Osteopathic Family Practice Program became a reality. The Medical Staff of Methodist Hospital has always been visionary in its expectations for the future of medical services at Methodist Hospital. In partnership with the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and as a member of the Appalachian Osteopathic Postgraduate Training Institute Consortium (A-OPTIC), becoming a teaching hospital elevated Methodist to a new level of providing comprehensive, consistent, and quality healthcare to our patients.

Through the Osteopathic Family Practice Program, the Medical Staff of Methodist Hospital is dedicated to providing an atmosphere of learning, collaboration, and excellence to all students and residents. The residents, who choose Methodist Hospital as the healthcare facility that will enhance their education process and provide practical hands on experience, will find a diverse environment designed to provide the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.

We have a history of providing quality healthcare for the entire family, from newborn to senior citizen. We have associations with many other healthcare facilities, partnering to provide the highest quality care for our patients.

As D.O. Program Administrative Director, I am always happy to discuss the Osteopathic Family Practice Program at Methodist Hospital with any prospective student or resident. I can be contacted at (270) 827-7531 or by email at
